We want everyone to feel welcome at Streetlife Museum. That’s why we run community activities and collaborations throughout the year.
Get creative, grab a cuppa or put on your own community exhibition.
Community Café
Community Café is our friendly and free drop-in for anyone over 55. Join us at Streetlife Museum on the last Friday of the month for a cuppa, good company and a quiz or craft activity.
Every year we aim to host two community exhibitions. These take place in the Streetlife Open Space – a flexible exhibition and activity space at the heart of the museum. It's your space to learn, create and get involved with Hull Museums.
The Open Space is home to a wide range of temporary exhibitions and events throughout the year. It's an opportunity for you to take ownership and programme the things you’d like to see for your community. As a result, the exhibition programme is an exciting mix. From independent, community-led displays to co-curated community exhibitions, developed through our projects.
The space itself is multifunctional. So even during exhibitions we can continue to host visitor activities and workshops.
You’ll find the Open space on the ground floor, at the centre of the Streetlife Museum.
